👍👍 Absolutely - no comparison.

Both are good cameras, but starting from nothing, I’d go with Fuji, especially for JPEG quality.

OP should consider used, if money is an issue.

KEH.com and MPB.com are great sources of used gear. Adorama, B&H, Cameta, and Roberts are other dealer options.

I don't have a dog in this race, as I do Olympus and Canon. But I will comment anyway... go Fuji. Mirrorless, well built , gorgeous colors , and cool film simulations.

I have a D40X that is at least 12 years old. I have the 18-55 that came with it and also the 55-200VR. Weight is also important because of rotator cuff problem.

I added Fiji to my Nikons DSLR more than 2 years ago. Still not sure which one I like more, they are very different but both very good, it's what you personally like more, but since you already have 18-55 and 55-200 it makes sense to go with …….. .

If cost is not the serious factor, and you want a lightweight fantastic little mirrorless, take a serious look at the Z50. The current kit is a spectacular deal. I've had the camera for a week. I will probably never be the same!

It's time for an update and I can't decide between Fuji XT-2 or Nikon 5600. Can I get opinions from the gallery please? Many thanks

As I always say, read reviews and comparisons. This is a good site.

Really? Your serious? You are comparing a D5600 with two lenses for $600.00 VS. a Fuji that it's body sells for $1600.00.
Really? you can't decide between the two? I refuse to enter further into this troll post. Get a life.

Depends on the lenses you already have invested with in Nikon and if you want to invest in the Fuji lenses. I switched from Nikon to Fuji slowly after first buying a X100-F. Later I bought an XT-3. The cost of switching has been significant for me but I have been very pleased with the decision to go with Fuji. Send me a private message if you would like more information.

How well acquainted are you with the menu of each. I find the one is far more user friendly than that of the other company. I won’t tell you my opinion. However, I suggest you explore this issue if you have not already. Maybe you have and are acquainted and comfortable with each, thereby eliminating this from your consideration. If so, weight or access to lenses at reasonable cost may be issues to explore.
What do you want to achieve?
Does one seem more comfortable in your hand?
Best of luck with your decision.

I was a Nikon guy forever. Had lenses out the gazoo and a D850--which is a great camera. However, due to a bad back and other, related maladies, the system was too heavy and awkward for me. So I sold it all and bought two Fujifilm bodies--XT-3 and X-H1. It's an APS sensor size, but it till produces 26 to 22 GB images, does raw as well as .jpg, and many other things. Very versatile and half the weight of the Nikon. So, there is my vote, AND I'M STICKING TO IT!!!!!

The Fuji WR primes are possibly the best looking lenses available so that's a +1 for Fuji.

I can only speak from my experience. The 5600 is a great camera in its class. I would get the 18-140 with it, this is a great all around lens. This combination should keep you happy for a long time.

I was a Nikon man, now I love my Fujifilm XT2. Great "little" camera. Makes photography fun.
