You have a good eye for what will make a good B&W photo. These are very nice.

One technique to help "visualizing in B&W" is to set your DSLR to shoot Jpeg and RAW, and set the Picture Style or whatever your brand calls it for JPEGS to monochrome. That way, the rear screen will show the scene in Monochrome and allow you to make changes to exposure to enhance contrast as you want it. The RAW keeps all of the information and will show in PP in full color, then you can do the B&W conversion as you see fit, and use other tools, too.

Thanks photocraig. I never thought of presetting my camera color to already monochrome. 👍🏾

These are wonderful captures.

They offer a simpler, quiet time. They stay stark which lends themselves to more priductive times.

May I offer a mild critique?

These captures could use more contrast. Consider dialing up your aperature and make it smaller. Consider dialing down your ISO and make it "darker."

Try to get closer to the house so as to reduce the foreground. You could crop in tighter for a better effect.

Try to be at the same level as the house. When below the house, you inadvertly create a parallax effect making the house look as if it is falling backwards.

You could use a tilt shift lens to correct this effect. However they tend to be more expensive that a lens with comparable focal length. You could rent one to try out the light path bending mechanism.

I am a hobbyist and extremely far from professional. I hope you don't mind borrowing some of my experiences learned from 1976 till now.

I have enjoyed your previous postings. If I have offended you, please accept my apology.

These are all wonderful captures. Number Two gets my vote!

Happy Shooting!

No offense Scruples. I’m used to criticism or critique my friend. And thank you for your honesty. As my favorite musical artist of my time Tupac said “Even a genius ask questions.” One cannot get better without continuous learning. Tbh I shoot all my photos with a iPhone 7. Some of my earlier photos with a iPhone 6 and 5. So I feel I haven’t even scratched any surface yet with my photography and a lot of the things that I’ve learned on here are extremely helpful to my growth. I’d really like to do photography full time with the right mentor. I’ve heard many times I have talent . I’d like to one day have my photos hang in a hospital or some type of business building. I still have a long way to go but being optimistic keeps me going. Again thanks for the feedback and have a wonderful Sunday. 😊

I love the photography, I also love the house, the roof seems good so the inside might be rot free. A chainsaw to cut down the trees would be a good place to start the rehab.
