Actually in a flight of military aircraft performing a formation landing wingman should always touch down before lead. Imagine the problem if lead lands first and starts decelerating while the wingman is still trying to stick the landing.

Is that one of the judges behind them (in the middle)? I doubt the feathered quartet will make the medal ceremony but the photographer will!
