I am familiar with Fuji bodies but I Am totally unfamiliar with the Sony A6000!! Sorry, can’t help. You may want to search on line for a comparison between the A6000 and various Fuji body selections.
What would you say is Fuji's closest equivalent to the Sony a6000?
Thanks!
My two primary cameras for "the street", and for recording gatherings, are the Sony a6000 and the Fujifilm X-E2 ~ and, I'd say they could be considered as competitive "equivalents".

Since the X-T3 has come out for a while already and it's selling for $1300. I thought perhaps I can get an X-T2 for less and because I like it better but NO. B&H is selling the X-T2 for $1600.

Supply and Demand. X-T2's were selling for $1-2K a few months ago. Now you can hardly find a new one anywhere close to that price because they just aren't making them anymore. I paid $1173 for a new X-T2 and their 35 mm kit lens at B&H back in October of this year.

And it is still worth it. I had considered getting an xt3 but was turned off by some of the features that Fuji deleted in favor of other features I dislike and don't use. I would like the faster processor and the new sensor, but not at the sacrifice of things that I like about the XT-2. I imagine that others have the same conclusion.
If you are talking about a street camera, my Fuji X-H1 is the best street camera I have ever used. Adequate MP's, body well made and in Japan, great tilt monitor and light weight and inconspicuous. What else could one want?
