Check out GimpShop.
Second that--- GIMP, GIMPHOTO, GIMPSHOP are as powerful as PS and is a freebie with regular updates for free. They all have a choice of free RAW plug-ins too. VIVA la Open Source!!
The Kodak Easy Share has the capability to process RAW files.
Free is good but a steep learning curve involved...

Plus if you have a Windows 7, 64 bit machine, I've read that the add ons won't work properly as they are 32 bit ...

I am fairly new at this raw photo shooting and do not want to spend money on a program to process them yet. Is there any free programs out there I could use?
If you have a Canon, Digital Photo Pro came with it, Bob
if you don't mind doing one photo at a time you can try nama5 for your self I think it produce results on par with lightroom 3.

Typically a program came with your camera allowing you to edit your RAW photos. If Canon then Digital Photo Professional, if Nikon then View NX 2, etc.

Its a Kodak Z990Max the only program that came with it was Kodak easyshare which is not the greatest.
Please let me know what you settle with, as shooting raw on a Z990 seems quite involved / aka a pain in the drain. JPEG does a very good job. Recovery time is slow, but that 30X does a job. Factory recommends a class 8 SD card. If I really want to go big bore, I use the Pentax K10D w/ 18-250. My pocket carry is a Kodak M-380. Thanks, MR.ED

I noticed that, on page one, you were asked what operating system you are using. Sorry, I must have missed your answer. To some of it it matters; we cannot advise you to use a Windows only program if you have a Mac.
