Yesterday, the public impeachment inquiry hearings conducted by the Schiff-led House Intelligence Committee concluded, and as my colleague Bonchie noted, none of the “star” witnesses really added much of anything to the debate outside of U.S. Ambassador to the EU Gordon Sondland, which isn’t saying much considering his ever-changing recollection of events and conversations.

While much of the national media and their friends in the Democratic party salivated over the testimony of Dr. Fiona Hill Thursday, Rep. Jim Jordan (R-OH) strategically took his five minutes of time to note that much of what Hill said actually backed up Republican arguments about how the “get Trump” effort has been a coordinated attempt at undermining both the election process and the office of the presidency itself going back to 2016:

Rep. Jim Jordan, Ohio Republican, took witness Fiona Hill through a chronology, from opposition research firm Fusion GPS to dossier author Christopher Steele to the FBI, which put President Trump under investigation. The operation was funded by the Democratic National Committee and the Hillary Clinton presidential campaign.

“The DNC hired [a law firm] who hired Fusion GPS who hired Christopher Steele who talk to Russians who gave him a bunch of dirt, a bunch of National Enquirer garbage, that he compiled in a dossier and our FBI used it,” Mr. Jordan said. “They used it as part of their investigation that they opened in July 2016 where they spied on to American citizens associated with the presidential campaign. My guess is that has probably never happened in American history.”

Jordan talked for over 4 minutes, and after having Hill confirm statements she’s made, he made a larger point about how sad it was that Democrats have put the American people through 3 years of this process all because they didn’t want Trump elected, and didn’t like the outcome of the election.

What’s next up in the Impeachmentpalooza charade? The House Intel, Oversight, and Foreign Affairs Committee have to confer on an Intelligence Committee report detailing their findings and turn it over to the House Judiciary Committee, led by Rep. Jerry Nadler (D-NY). In addition, the report has to be released to the public.

After that, Judiciary has the option to conduct more hearings if they think they should, and from there articles of impeachment are drafted if they determine they have enough evidence.

Stay tuned.

Just quietly, among themselves, Jim Jordan's wrasslin' kids say ...

... "You're on your own here. This guy is not a boat rocker or a whistle blower. He's only here for the free jock straps and parking."

You are full of shift. Jim Jordan was elected to represent the people of his district. He is their mouthpiece in Congress. If you don’t like him, you would not like the people he represents. He never has gone rogue. Isn’t that what elected representatives are supposed to do?

If you don’t like him for being honest, stay down under.

I am sorry to say that we have a party who will not fulfill their duties as representatives and are only in Congress to oppose the party across the aisle and not legislate.

Cleveland.com.

"Jordan is being credibly accused by some of knowingly turning a blind eye to sexual abuse by a team doctor when Jordan was an assistant wrestling coach at Ohio State University from 1987 to 1994.

At least five people – four of them former wrestlers and one of them a longtime friend – have said Jordan had to have known former OSU team doctor Richard Strauss was on a sexual rampage that would include -- according to OSU -- 1,429 sexual assaults and 47 rapes of student patients during Strauss’ time at the school (1978 to 1998) prior to his suicide in 2005."

It's a shame that Jordan couldn't go after the sex pervert as aggressively as he went after our dedicated employees of the diplomat corps. He could have prevented much of the abuse, but he just looked the other way.

Probably not such old and insignificant news to the people who were abused. There could be a mountain of evidence and it wouldn't matter to you. You would stand up for the enabler of sexual abuse rather than the victims.

Bill Maher compares Jordan with the other creepy sex scandal wrestling coach turned GOPer ... Dennis Hastert

https://www.newsweek.com/jim-jordan-dennis-hastert-ohio-state-alleged-sexual-abuse-bill-maher-1472204

"Jim Jordan, he's a former wrestling coach, who the players say knew that the team doctor was sexually abusing a lot of the players-and he did nothing about it," Maher said. "Now to be fair to Jim Jordan, he is not accused of abusing any of the players himself, he just stood by and did nothing while horrible things happened: so good practice for the hearing."

Maher compared Jordan to Hastert, who in 2016 became the highest-ranking elected official in U.S. history to serve a prison sentence after he was convicted of trying to pay "hush money" to boys he later admitted sexually abusing while he was a Yorkville, Illinois wrestling coach.

Hastert is the longest-serving Republican Speaker of the House in U.S. history, and was released from federal prison in July 2017.

"Jim Jordan is the second wrestling coach turned Republican congressman who has had a sex scandal having to do with the wrestling children," Maher said. "Dennis Hastert anybody?...He was also a creepy wrestling coach. What are the odds?"
