Yes, definitely ... and it was the very best roadway into the photography industry for Sony.
They picked up a ton of quality design and engineering.
Minolta was never able to crack the pro market, which was a shame.
They definitely pushed the borders of innovation.

Thanks! If you read one of my previous post you would have known that I want to shoot 4K video with the Iphone. So don't laugh. It's the reason also I wouldn't want to put too much money into the PC and software to edit it.
I am not a video guy. I tried shooting movies back in the early 80's with a Beaulieu 5008s but I quit shortly. So no I am not serious in video as my DSLR doesn't even shoot video. But I know one can't shoot decent video without editing.

The Beaulieu was the Super 8 camera I always wanted in those days. I couldn't afford it so ended up with the Nikon R10 which I still possess along with drawerful of reels of Super 8! Editing was splicing and then add sound. Eumig, Bolex and Bauer were the projectors of choice. It was a lot of fun. Bringing out the glass bead screen and setting up the projector to show one's "masterpieces".

Too bad I don't have any "masterpieces" to show. I have only a few 50ft reels of rather bad movies. I wasn't cut out for it. So now I want to try again starting with the Iphone.

Another question. If I use Premiere Elements 2020 to do the editing, should I enable hyperthreading or not?
