I LOATHE Elements 14 especially when it won"t open editor, and wait wait wait
I use 14, but have no problems. I'm on an 27-inch iMac.
I use PSE-10 on a Win10 machine. No problems. Tell us more about your configuration. The problem is likely not the software.

I have a Dell desk top 4L2qgb1 Inspiron 3650 Ram 8.00 GB... Processor Intel (R) core TM i 5-6400 CPU@2.70 HGz 2.17 System type 64-bit operating 64-based processor Elements organizer opens but editor just gives a flash then nothing . I have stayed with Elements since 4 came out . Could I have to many pictures in the catalog?
Haren,
I'm going to guess that you've got too many background programs running and there is not enough RAM left for Photoshop Elements. Second guess is that you're running out of disk space. Photoshop needs "room to work".
A true story. My son bought a very good computer for his family. One family member thought that they should turn on the built in Windows security. Another family member was worried about hackers and installed Anti Virus software. The two programs were so busy keeping the computer safe, nothing else worked well at all.
I have my original Ele. 14 CD thinking about reinstalling....
That should work great. Installing an ancient, by computer standards, program on a current operating system might fix everything!

Listen, we are not all flush, we make do with what we have .
"we are not all flush"
Sorry if I offended you. If you read what I wrote, it was about cleaning up your computer. That doesn't cost money. Maybe reinstalling will work. Try it.
I sometimes have trouble with Elements 14 freezing especially after a Windows or other update. Sometimes a restart helps or a re-installation works.
I had the same issue- tried the Google thing- no luck. Finally I just deregistered it uninstalled it, rebooted and reinstalled PSE-14 and like magic it works again - no clue why I guess sometimes you just have to use a hammer
I use Elements 14 on a Mac and a Dell; no complaints about either.
thanks everyone...my next step first is to see whats running in the back ground ....time for a computer clean up i think.... it'd been awhile
Elements 14 is a RAM hog. I am on a Windows PC, 24 gigs of Ram, 4GZ, 4 gig Vid card and I have no issues.
Try cleaning up your computer using CCCleaner at the very least. A free program which I have been using for over 10 years( updated naturally).
Many friends having issues have used this program with great success.
