I am headed to OCC at the end of the month. I'm taking two Nikon Bodies, a d500 and a d850.
I thinking my d850 with 17-35 f/2.8 on a tripod (Is that too close ? Bring a 24-70 ?) and then maybe a Macro on the d500. Which macro ?? 60 - 85 -105 ?? How close are you getting to these cars ?? What did you use when you were there ??
Thanks in advance for your advice, Gary

You can do everything except sit inside the vehicles. And for a few of the buses, you can get up inside them too.
I took my 24-70 and a 150 macro. Watch out for the rattlers.

If you have a fisheye, TAKE IT! They can be a lot of fun when shooting old cars.
You will likely be cramped trying to isolate single cars even with the FF. I found the magic was around 16mm at F11 if you want to get most of the car in focus. Using a 24 mm requires closer to F16 to achieve the same. I know someone who shoots car shows regularly with a D850. Everyone of his shots are from a tripod. He's convinced that it's a requirement to achieve tack sharp images with that high megapixel camera.
I do like MT's suggestion. Shooting with a fisheye will give a unique look for a specialty shot.
I'm familiar with many of the cities in Georgia. But, I had never heard of White, GA. I Googled . it. It's a small town in northwestern Georgia. Barstow County,, population 610 (2010 Census. That should make it even more fun. The link you provided has ticket prices of $30, for anyone wanting to shoot photos, and a lesser price if you bring no camera. That's OK. Enjoy yourself. I like old cars too. Your camera equipment is more than adequate.

I've shot at OCC a few times. I have used a tripod, but I found it a PITA due to the uneven ground and because I didn't want to lug the thing around for hours. Now that I have a travel tripod, I might reconsider.
The stuff is too close together to need more than about 100 mm. I found a 35 mm lens on an APS-C camera to be good for most of what I wanted. So your 17-35 ought to be the most useful, but also do take the 24-70. Macro is a tougher call since it depends on what sort of stuff you like to shoot and how much weight you want to carry for an extended period.
You can easily spend 4-6 hours or more at the place. It is fascinating.
Have been there. I take my D850 with 24-120 and 105 macro . You will love . Check when they are open .
Backgrounds are always the big problem. Do what you can to eliminate distractions. Look into using a TTL flash to expose the subject and, with a very high shutter speed, darken the background. Flash on TTL, camera in Manual mode with high speed sync set in the menu, ISO 400, aperture at F4.5, and shutter set high enough to darken the ambient light. You can increase ISO to get a bit more reach and stop down to increase DoF and the TTL feature on the flash will compensate to give correct exposure. A helper to go off camera with the flash would be a good thing.

Also if you have the time, check out Gibbs Gardens, I think it is about an hour away from OCC

I understand admit fee is twenty and photography fee thirty . Let us know if it is worth going out there. I love to see old cars.
I would not want to use a tripod for something like this. Too much chance for it to be toppled by passerbys, and for most attendees, it's just plain inconsiderate.
