A LOT of GREAT photographers died in the wars...in all of them. They USED to be the conscience of "the people" that were not "in battle" and that of the ones that were as well. WE ALL remember the wars of our country because of men like this, as well as the MANY that died doing it.
God bless them all, as well as the wonderful and nessassry work that they ALL have done through the years. This country owes you people a debt we can never repay as I believe that many wars ended sooner than not because of the horrors that our military had to live through every day. You brought those images to ALL OF US daily!
To prove it my own nephew asked me a few months back on Flag Day IF we were "still at war with anyone now?" I felt ashamed that he didn't even know! (And also because he was to stupid to even look it up on his phone!)
To the hearts and eyes of a Nation, I for one thank you all.
