Lots of interest in Carol Lombard there.
Nice catch, Voss.

The contrast between the "star struck" and the locals is captured beautifully.

It's an interesting quirk with the color-to-B&W conversion. They're not as identical in the color shot.

I didn't give any thought to a conversion, but yea there could be a large difference with color.
I'm wondering why some of the stars are pointing north and others are pointing south. Or maybe it's east and west.
And I'm wondering what happens on Mondays that parking isn't allowed. At first I thought it might be for street sweepers but the ban is from 4 pm to 11:30 pm. Do they sweep the streets at night?

Well, EdJ0307, I have no idea about the stars. But I'll venture a guess on the parking. This photo was taken on Thursday, our arrival day. Notice that the sign is stuck on a palm tree. You can see a barrier along the sidewalk, and a lot of junk on the street. The block is barricaded, and they had just finished shooting an episode of The Irishman. No idea regarding it's nature or length, but there were signs about. Anyhow, they were at the clean-up stage. My guess is the sign was posted the previous Monday so they could start setting up their props.. From the looks of the props still on the street, several different scenes were shot. Wish we'd arrived a day earlier.
