I need a 500mm zoom for Nikon D3200. Are there other brands that I can use with an adapter? I’m also fine with manual focus.
Also what are extenders as in making a lens like a 200mm zoom a lot farther?
You should consider Tamron and Sigma if your budget is limited, the older long primes are kinda pricey considering that they are manual lenses and if they are not pricey they are probably garbage. I recently picked up a Canon 300mm f/4L prime lens for under $600 so I would think that you could find something suitable for your Nikon in that price range, I know that 300 is not a 500mm zoom, but that lens new is more expensive than either the Tamron 150-600 or the Sigma 150-600 C if purchased new.
Would the tamron or Sigma need to be exact same Mount ? And do they come in a lot of different mounts so that I have to know exactly what to look for? I have a 300mm now but it’s not zooming in on the hawks up in the trees

Sigma and Tamron both make lenses for Canon and Nikon, Sigma even makes some lenses for Sony. So you can purchase those lenses in the Nikon mount and they will be fully functional on your Nikon body.

FYI: your question should have been posted as a new topic as this has nothing to do with the OP’s Yongnuo 50mm lens.
Good luck in your search though!
I tried this lens in a Pawnshop and I ask how much he want, he said $15 cash- they had no labels on this lens- so I bought it. Yes it was one of my best deals ever and it's not the super lens but I used it as my daily lens. After using long time zoom lenses I forgotten how it is to use my feets again......it's a lens where I love my outcome of the pics.....
welcome in the nifty fifty prime lenses

Should have spent your money on a Quality "Nifty Fifty" Nikon 1.8g lens, much better Glass and will produce much better images. You could get a new one at a decent price or a used or Refurbished 50mm at a good price too.
I agree. Nikon 50mm lennes are not that expensive.
