You don't necessarily need to apply the effect to the entire image; you could just apply it to specific elements within the image that can benefit from it.

I see a difference in the comparisons of skin tone from before and after. It's more critical in this area than landscape or flowers for my work.
If your processing software can't already do this then why use it? I get it, it's free. But I don't think I'll download it. Thanks for the link, though.

Lightroom has a tool called vibrance that works similarly if moved to the left. The hsl adjustment layer also.
