I disagree. I just think we should stay on DST year round!

I don’t care which time DST or ST. Just do it!

Right. Another clock to set! We have to eliminate DST. When you stop and think about it, it's absolutely ridiculous. Changing the time?!

Let's all use UTC

Nikon has a menu setting to turn DST on and off. Not the most needed option, but it is there.

Make sure it's a camera new enough to be based on current schedule and not the original April/October

It's not based on anything. It just manually sets the clock forward or back an hour.

That's why I said it's not the most needed option. I forget which was the first camera I owned that had the option, but I thought it was broken.

So this past Sunday morning, for example, you would go into the camera's menu and change that setting to "on" and the time stamp moves back an hour? If it's not based on a date, how does it know it is time to fall back rather than spring forward?

It rolls the dice in menu setting "Just Guess".

For many of us who live in Daylight Savings time zones....don't forget to update your time in your camera body.

I reset everything.

Last week I went to sleep at 12 midnight and got up at 6 am. This week I've been falling asleep at 11 pm and waking up at 5 am!

I'm not sure why we go through this clock-changing exercise.

Thanks! I also forgot to set my car clock so I panicked when I finally found the long-term airport lot (long story involving lots of walking around) and the time was a lot later than I thought. One look at my phone told me the story. I'll check my camera today.

I don't care about the time stamp on my photos. I don't wear a watch nor carry a cellphone. When I'm out shooting my camera is my time piece.

At home I just ask Alexa for the time.

What a great reply!. My thoughts exactly as I always shoot by the sun's position and not what some pompous and officious Washington bureaucrat tries to dictate.
A stronger message may follow!
