I've never understood the entire skimpy clad model/nude model with a gun thing??? Is the gun a substitute for a phallus object? As far as the nude photos of the subject, I would have the young lady in bondage on her knees and or face down on her knees with the Dom' standing over her or straddling her. Instead of the gun Id have given her a whip or paddle. This is all dependant on your ultimate vision . No way of knowing.
I'm just amazed by all of this response. Here is half of the original posting as written, "Film Noir inspired." It's doesn't get any simpler or to the point.
All of this is quite frankly so bizarre to me. Just how would this be more clear? Noir is dark, the term Film Noir points clearly to what is German Expressionism. The only conclusion that may be drawn is that there are many who are completely devoid of any understanding of this tradition Film Noir (which leads to German Expressionism), frankly I just don't buy this.
Not that it has any relevance to the depiction/story, the weapon shown is a hand me down from my Italian side of my Fathers family. This is weapon featured as the weapon most used in the American Noir films of the hay day of film noir. Hundreds of films, and it is the main prop used other than unfiltered cigarettes, liquor and such.
Did this particular weapon cause the taking of life? Yes. My Uncle Thomas Luce Summa carried this side arm while in Patton's Third Army, Artillery. He revealed that in three encounters with German troops he was the instrument of death for several of the enemy. For this the US Army awarded three Purple Hearts and the Bronze Star. But my use of it was that of staging a visual story created around that story. Closely follows the structure of the Noir style.
After, I gave this and a 38 Police Special (the side arm of another uncle who was a New York City policeman) to a friend who is involved with target shooting.
The weapon details a styling, a prop in the story telling of the Noir period.
By the general response by some vocal few (posts) here, you would want a return to the Hays Commission* and the Hays Code. So I do understand, and I do concur with your personal position of self censorship. Yet one does have the problem of how one can view much of what is in movie theaters and TV/Internet that is like the reasoning leveled at this work?
Big hint, the weapon depicted is only a prop, also, Groucho Marks delightful quote while rolling his cigar between his thumb and fingers "A cigar is often just a cigar."
By 1968 the Hays Code was deemed as an attempt for repression, it was replaced after The Supreme Court rulings that it was the attempt to suppress the Civil Rights of the Constitution.
