I don't consider myself a birder but it seems I do take a lot of bird pictures unless there happens to be another interesting subject on hand :-D

lol....the second one made my morning. I love it. It's like..hey buddy what cha doing?....awesome
It's my lifes ambition to get a bif. Still laughing over the 2nd shot. love them both. What camera & lens were you using?
Love the critter photos, especially the second one!
What's a bif? :-)
BIF is camera talk for "bird/s in flight.
Canon OES digital Rebel XTi, iso set at 200,
Lens used for these shots was a Canon EF 100-400 f/4.5-5.6L lens
I liked the BIF photo, I think the white balance could have been set better. The photo of the squirrel is really a great photo.
Regarding the heron, I set the camera on "sports" (which takes about 3 images per second) and tracked him in flight... The specifics for that image, iso 400, white balance "auto", f5.6, 400mm, 1/320 sec.
Great pics, luv the squirrel, we have a bunch of them here on the campus. They're real characters.
good job on the bird. the head is just not as sharp as the body. the second one is too cute. it would be a great post card or greeting card just to say hello
Hey Don. I was just playin with Topaz blur removal .. can almost feel his fur on the belly ...
I still need tons of practice
