Just wondering what would make a ' perfect Portrait ' should one exist .
What do class as one ? Can one have a perfect portrait and not know it ?
cheers Everyone

I personally would say NO,..Why?
1. Nothing except God is perfect.
2. Humans are imperfect
3. Cameras and Lens are made by Humans
4. So, Photography is an imperfect Art form
.
Although with a Quality Camera and Quality Portrait Lens, and a Skilled and Experienced Photographer, A very Good and acceptable Portrait being created is a strong possibility indeed.

How about that one with the grand piano lid raised up to frame the artist. Pretty Picture Perfect, if you ask me.
That would depend on the subject and the eye of the beholder.

Perfection is in the Eye of the Beholder, and it is not really Perfection, but it may be Very, Very, Good.

I think it depends on what you are trying to capture. Do you want something with context, to capture the model’s “real personality”, something “pretty”, or an interesting arrangement of shapes?
So it will vary per the photographer and the viewer, and the client.
Here is one of my Favorite Portraits Ive taken ..

Every one of mine is perfect. (I have this bridge......)
A perfect portrait does not exist, not because 'only god is perfect' as one said but because it is a matter of taste.
"perfect anything' means everyone agrees.
Good luck with that one (unless you are deluded like some guy I will not mention in fear of driving this to the attic).
