This makes 4 years without any "defined" fall colors in Maryland & parts of PA. So I'll have to post one from 2015. Grandfather Mountain, Blue Ridge Parkway. That was the last time we've seen that bright confined color in a long time.

Do you know what is causing that Boke? I've lived in SoCal my whole life (so far) and there has NEVER been "defined" fall colors, so I am curious about your event. Thanks.

Our Autumn has been a little bit snowy. As you can see from the snow on the pumpkin.

Nice photo of the snow pumpkin! I guess you don't want to hear it was 83 degrees here in Fayetteville, NC. (p3)

There aren't very many places in Southern California that can compete with the "Shades of Autumn" that so many of you have in your backyards. I had to visit our mountain home to get even this stuff.

These are all in the mountains about 7500 foot elevation...the colors are from California Black Oaks. Daytime temperatures are still in low 70's or mid 60's but it is getting below freezing most nights, so fall shades have appeared.

.

I really like the first one!! (p3)
