It is a bit unusual to see them like that - pretending to be a heron! Those feet are really made for outswimming a fish!

You’re right about the foot - I had never caught that detail before. Anhingas are so common in FL that we sort of overlook them as subjects, which is clearly a mistake. Thanks for sharing.
