There have been a few discussions about it here on UHH. From what I understand it's an advanced Auto Exposure mode that allows the photographer to make less decisions about exposure. If you like shooting in full Auto Exposure you may like it. You can find some of the threads about it by going selecting "Search" at the top of the page and typing in Arsenal.

The claimed communication capability is impressive. The intelligent I don't want.

When I first heard about Arsenal, it sounded like a neat addition. I wanted to purchase one and told my wife. She asked me how it works and how using it would benefit my photographs. Then she walked away and I thought about my response and hers. I decided against buying one because gone price tag is too excessive. My wife really knows how to keep my photographs in check. Also, she dies know how to control my bouts of GAS!

Happy Shooting!

We've had so many questions about that, but no one seems to have spent the considerable money to buy one.

I hate to admit that I bought one at the very reduced price. Between the time it was ordered and delivered, I pretty much became a full time manual shooter. I have opened the box to look at it, downloaded the app, but LOL, I have never taken it out of the box much less attached it to one of my cameras. I guess I should just to see if it lives up to the prerelease hype!

The user reviews I saw weren’t very favorable. It’s been out several years and their ads show up on FB every once in awhile.

The Arsenal gets mixed reviews. From what I have heard and read, the photo stacking, panorama and long exposure capabilities may be worth the expense.

However, the AI that chooses all of your settings for you.... meah! I do not trust AI (or any other guide) based on analysis of thousands, millions or even billions of "professional" samples. At best the examples are well selected and yield average to a little above average results. At worst the selections are not the best of the available professional samples and lead you to below average shots. That is in the nature of all models that weigh averages. They tend to move you toward the average of the selected sample and are biased on the quality of the selection process. If your goal is to take average shots, the AI may be useful.

However, many really like the other functions that Arsenal offers.

I bought it through the Kickstarter program. Was really excited to see how it worked. Tried it as a remote and took some bird photos from inside my house and used the app to see hwen the birds were on the feeders to take the images. Worked great for that use but never tried the AI. Would rather make my own decisions!
