In this installment I am focusing on the Louvre and the Sacre Couer (Sacred Heart) Basilica. The Louvre is the largest and most visited art museum in the world. The Sacre Couer Basilica is located in an area known as Montmartre. This area on the Right Bank is located on a hilltop, the highest point in Paris. The area was once known as the home to numerous artists and sculptors.

#4 More impressive sculptures. We saw so many of these in Paris.

#5 The world's most famous painting. We stood in lines for over an hour before reaching this point. If it were not already so famous, I think people would barely notice it.

a grand place to visit ...we visited it many years ago...my husband won a trip to paris on air france...he was playing in a golf tournament and the golfer who hit their drive closest to a certain hole won the tickets to
paris. it was a grand trip, but it rained the whole time we were there...I think it was nov when we went...a trip I have always remembered as gray, cloudy, and very wet....lol. it was exciting to think we were
actually in paris, france. I enjoyed your shots very much of these lovely places.

Another big thank you MT for looking in and commenting. When we first landed in Paris it was raining, but the rain soon stopped, and by the next day the weather was clear and beautiful. Needles to say, we were thankful.
