The first picture is a shot I posted here on UHH back in 2016 (taken in 2015). The second one is a screen capture of a shot I found on a Zillow listing for a house we are interested in. I went 'what the...?' when I saw it.
The first shot, my posted shot, is cropped a little tighter than the second. Since UHH is the only place I had posted the pic,I initially assumed someone had sold the picture to a stock photo agency. However, I couldn't understand how the 'thief' had gotten a hold of the uncropped original unless they had recovered it from the card that was in the Panny LF-1 that was stolen from my car.
However, after lengthy examination I noted that the distant figure in the middle of the frame is standing a little closer to the white truck cab in one picture versus the other, which leads me to believe that it was taken from a slightly different angle. Still, what are the odds of finding an almost identical photo to one of yours on-line.

Shot from a little to your right and a few minutes later, judging from the movement of the floating boom and clouds. Exposure's a little different, too.
Looking at the shapes of the clouds sure makes it seem to me that it's your image.
The clouds are very close, but don't appear to me to be exactly the same. It is possible someone took this same type of picture on the same day, but I couldn't say for sure.
I may be wrong, (it has happened plenty of times before)..but, it is my understanding that if you post any un- copyrighted photograph on the internet that it is for use by anyone.
I personally never use anyone elses photographs, I just don't see the point to it. However, I have downloaded several nice captures on UHH and added them to some of my personal slide shows I run as screen savers on my computer's.
I personally do not post photographs online anywhere. All of my photos do have copyrighted water marks on them from when I had them for sale on my websites.
Many people post their photos simply for their own enjoyment and the enjoyment of others. (Also to get feedback as well. Which is a big help to many.)
It is not unusual for others to claim internet posted materials as their own. I would recommend not posting anything you don't want copied and used.
I highly doubt that ANY member of UHH would do what your claiming was done. I have not been a member here for very long, but from what I have seen they ALL seem to be very upright and honest people.
Good luck to you.
They probably stole your camera specifically to obtain this image to sell to a stock agency ...

No, no, no. Absolutely not, anymore than if you park your car on a public street it is therefore free for anyone to use.

I agree... same clouds... slightly different vantage point. Unless there were other people standing with you at that moment, taking similar photos... I'd guess that was your image. Weird. (Not the picture though.)
Our daughter has in-laws who own and manage a cranberry farm in Oregon... and harvest photos really are stunning!
Analyzing these photos, it seems they were taken by the same camera, only a few moments apart, perhaps in this sequence. The "Zillow" photo was taken from a position a short ways to the right of the "Posted" one. Next the the 'Posted" one was zoomed in a bit, (building on left disappears) exposure adjusted to improve color and taken a few steps to the left, but little or non forward or back. Saying this because of the position shift of person or object in water in the distance in relation to the white truck cab and the forest, while at the same time the identicle distant clouds shift slightly in the opposite direction in relation to the notches in the forest outline. Also noted that the water ripples are different between photos and the slight difference in reflections along edge of the boom, so it appears that one wasn't cropped from the other.
My conclusion: You took at least two photos of the scene (details and memory do fade with time) and after your camera was lifted, one of your photos was also. Perhaps someday you may find other photos of locations you may recall. Theft is a terrible thing !

If I understand both of these terms of use statements the first one says that we as users and viewers have no right to use images without the copyright holder's permission. The second says that any image you upload to this site can be used or sold without your permission by the site owners. That is the reason I only upload small files.
It's a good "CYA" policy.
Considering the type of site the UHH seems to be, they have absolutely no control over the members.
They will not ever have any responsibility nor liability by any of their member's actions.
If there is any issue betwixt members over content or use, it is those members issue.
I just updated my last paragraph as I understand the terms of use.
It appears you are the photographer, and the owner of the 2nd picture is whoever has your stolen camera.
It looks like there are three people in the water. The closest person is in exactly the same pose in both photos. I don't know how the figure next in front of the truck is in a slightly different location but it could have been caused by cropping the photo. All three people in the same potion in both is too much of a coincidence.

Can you please explain how you have made this assumption?
