Of all the various software companies we deal with, is Adobe the most difficult /onerous in resolving issues? From long wait times , impersonal online exchanges, little support for software of earlier editions, as examples. On a positive note : Apple and Nik , have been first class.
Adobe is in many ways the old telephone company - a nexus for our imaging world.
I can't say that I've ever had a bad customer Service issue with Adobe.
Today, for example, I purchased Lightroom 4.1 from Adobe. After installation I could not find the Camera RAW that I am used to in PS Elements 10.
I was searching the Adobe Camera RAW page for help when a popup appeared asking if I would like to live chat with a support specialist. I clicked "yes."
A few minutes later I learned - from my chat - that ACR 7.1 is wholly integrated into Lightroom 4.1. It's not separate.
I was happy with the answer I received.

I have not dealt with Adobe, and without knowing, Nuance is a lot worse.

Right. I just got Lightroom and so far to me it seems like a mostly a souped up ACR. So far I like the Elements Organizer better for its functions and of course the Elements Editor does layers and a ton of other things (such as Panoramas) which Lightroom does not.
But I really love the clarity slider in Lightroom.
Hands down CyberLink MFG. beats all. Their Photo editing SFTW Sucls, Not worth even download Trial.
Video editing SFTW "Power Director" is good & Medium priced.
Just NO mfg. support. You get immediate notice of receiving your problem and you get a # but mfg help is 3 to 5 weeks out if then.
You have to build a PC, CPU, HD, VIDEO CARD to get their software to run. Latest Drivers also. Cyberlink's minimum list on pkg want run software.
The software on start-up every time try's to connect to Cyberlink's web site. Not to help, check problems, or up-grades, but to sale you one of their products.
They don't care. Think they have the only telephone Company in town.
Saving grace! Non-mfg support forum with the best support of each other that I have seen. Forums videos on YouTube search "power Director" " "PDTOOTS" are awesome help. Knoledgable people on Software and video editing. Adobe's I hope will get there, there cloud.
