I shudder at having to clean any of them. They're beautiful, but I'd need a platoon of maids.

I attended Mumford High School on Wyoming between 6 and 7 Mile. Got my Bachelor's degree from Wayne State U. My last visit to Detroit was in 2011 and I drove to many sites I had known--homes, churches, schools--one house was gone, churches had changed names (and demographics), one school looked abandoned and another gone. Mumford High was razed and rebuilt some time later, I understand.

DavidinDallas. I went to UofD and had MANY friends who attended Mumford. I did my driver's ed at Mumford. Remember W7 bowling alley, Darby's deli, or Rockies Pizza?

I think I remember the bowling alley, but not sure the other things were there yet (I graduated in 1955). My visit in 2005 was for my class's 50th Reunion.

I graduated in 65. Was in Detroit last summer. Time has certainly changed Detroit.

Thank you for the beautiful side of Detroit, I've scene both not only of Detroit, but of many of our cities throughout the states and these reflect what to me, the hearth is meant to be, no matter if the homestead is humble or lush. Well done. Thanks again
