I personally think it works really well. You have some natural framing on both sides and great details in the cascades of white water to contrast against the moss-covered rocks and the lush green background. I like that you are not directly facing the falls, but that it's at a slight angle.

Is there something you are unhappy with?

What you have done is OK - nothing wrong - but I would feel compelled to move in closer and isolate one of the ribbons of water flow in a vertical orientation.....

I think it is almost perfect. I personally like the falling water. I never have liked silky smooth waterfalls created with slow shutter speeds.

PERSONAL OPINION---If this were my photo I would crop out a good chunk of the top . The waterfall is what you are emphasizing so eliminate the stuff you don't need. In the middle of the photo is a tree with what looks like a stump next to it. I would crop down to right above the stump.

Ultimately, unless you are photographing something for a client the only thing that matters is what you think of it. If you are happy with it the way it is then it should stay that way.

Have you heard of the rule of thirds? It is very helpful with composition. It isn't the only composition tool but it helps in a lot of situations.

Just my opinion.

Dodie, I agree with you 100 percent and would add crop out on the left the partial tree branches.

I don’t think this one needs any help--good work there.

It's really nice. I like how you've handled the water. I like the darkness of the woods behind the falls. I have two little niggles. First, is it straight? I feel like it's a degree or two off. Maybe less. But then I have an astigmatism, so sometimes it's hard for me to tell. Second is the tree at the left. All we see are a couple of branches reaching into the frame. I tried a virtual crop that would eliminate those branches, and it looked pretty good. You might try that. But then, perhaps you like those branches there! They aren't offensive, and they don't distract that much.

Everything about this shot is very nice. The angle, the colors, and the water all look great! Well done.

My grandpa used to take me fishing here when I was a boy many years ago. Back then we could walk on several levels of the rock if we were careful. I think a shot looking up from a lower level to the top could be interesting. Watch for Water Mocassin snakes in this area.

I my opinion this is a great shot and should be left as is.
