When you turn Sony cameras off,
the lens stays open, wouldn't that
lead to dusty sensors?

It does not.

But growing! We are relatively quiet - like our cameras!

Cat, from what I can see, hear, and read, apparently Fujifilm has not attempted to reach the “mass (camera) market” using their competitors’ marketing models. I’ve seen the term “Fuji cult” used several times on the internet, and although “cult” is not really an apt term for us, it’s probable the best descriptor for others to comprehend.

I just read this on Fuji Rumors:

"Fuji’s wants to differentiate its products and push them into specific demographics, so that those people are ultimately the most satisfied"

I like the term "specific demographics". Kinda-sorta like Volvo automobiles (for example), Fuifilm cameras might not be for most camera consumers, or users ~ hence, we who use and enjoy them are certainly “a relatively miniscule core” on this very Canonikon (and increasingly Sony?) UHH forum.

I suggest that anyone thinking 'Fujifilm' should migrate over to one of the Fuji-centric forums to see how enthusiastic “Fujicians” really can be.

Segregation? Identity photo politics? I'd rather stay where I can point out a few little nuggets of truth whenever the subject comes up.

They are having some insane deals on the XH1 and XT3 with lens.
XH1 w/power grip + FUJIFILM XF 16-55mm f/2.8 R LM WR Lens - $1,198.00.

Where in the world did you get that quote from?!!! The cheapest I have found so far is $1699 w/ 16-55. The lens alone is $1k - I would snatch that up if I were you :D

And just for a note...I am still in love with my X-T2 - wouldn't trade it for the world...(well maybe for an x-t3)

Apologizes, was a B&H mistake. Cancelled all orders when they opened after Yom Kippur.

Adorama had it for $1448 and $1499 for awhile and they have honored that deal, but price has gone up another $100-200.
