This is why I don't buy Apple products unless I have to. I do own one of the less expensive iPads so that I can fly my DJI drone. It just so happens that DJI and Apple have some close ties and DJI drones work best with Apple products. Nothing I can do but buy an iPad. I know that some of the other tablets work with the drones, but the iPad works seamlessly and I don't want headaches with a lost drone.

I used to sell computers and there was a period of time when Apple started to allow 3rd party software development without their control, and other 3rd parties to be involved with them but they stopped that and went back to total control.

Their bad. They give you one price to fix a problem before even diagnosing it. Fortunately there are some local vendors who do Mac repairs and will charge a diagnostic fee which will roll over into the repair cost.

This might be true, but I love my Apple products, making them worth it. I used Apples before being forced, more or less, into using pc’s because of work compatibility. I always hated those things, and as soon as I retired it was right back to Apple products. I’ll willingly pay the price not to have to use a #$%^ pc again. But that’s just me.
