Here are some more from me today. I'm sorry I do not have time to comment on everyone's submissions. But I'm looking at them every chance I get. Great assortment of images everyone, and a good challenge subject.

Nice ones dustie. Sometimes I wonder abandoned or maybe forgotten on things like this.

I think you're right, but in this case I'd think abandoned.
This is on land which was once part of a ranch that dated back into at least mid- to late-1800โ€™s, as far as I can tell. The land was acquired by a timber company sometime in the second quarter of the 1900's, and is now administered by U.S. Forest Service.
There may be a detailed history of the ranch and the transfers of ownership somewhere, I don't know, but I've not located one. I've only seen extremely brief mentions in a few different sources. It's kind of like a bread crumb trail without many crumbs, or it's just a difficult-to-find trail.

On the fence, though, I'd think abandoned because there used to also

SORRY!!! Previous post got posted, by fumble fingers here, before it was completed.๐Ÿ˜ฃ๐Ÿ˜ฃ๐Ÿ˜ฃ

Yeah, anyway....there used to be remants of wire fences throughout the area, too. Forest Service has removed all of those materials. There were some neat examples of both old barbed wire and woven wire styles of fence wire in those materials. I don't believe much of it was preserved somewhere. It was mostly wadded and mashed together and hauled off as scrap, I think.
This area of this old rail fence is where a pack and saddle trail passes through, now. I'm thinking it was probably left because of the close proximity to that trail, so passersby can see a piece of historical remnants. A couple of prescribed burns to reduce undergrowth have been conducted in that area in the past 20 years or so, and the rail fence portions have been intentionally not burned each time, so I'm thinking they are being left (not abandoned? ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜) so that there is still a bit of old history visible.

Another nice set dustie, good find. Wonder how old that Pepsi carrier is, maybe 70 years?

Yeah, good question, Bob. Probably a good guess.
The only clue I have found is that the logo was changed from the "two bar" (=) to "single dash" (-) character between the words "Pepsi" "Cola" in 1951.

Here are thumbs up for all those who have put their good photos in this thread.
You know it takes a long while to catch up if you are not able to keep looking at entries as they are made.
So, to all who have put up good photos and made artistic touches out of the old rusted, broken and abandoned.....

.....this thumb's for you!!!

Back 9 to 10 years ago I would pass this business yard on my way to the plant. It was full of vintage farm implements and a few tractors. I said one of these days I have to stop and shoot photos of some of that stuff. There wasn't an easy place to pull over and park however, so never did. Yesterday on the same route I noticed a well manicured nicely landscaped yard with only 2 tractors with drop rakes hooked to them. So on my way back I found place to park, crossed the street, and walked a block and a half with only my phone camera just to capture what was left.
