I got pretty excited when I saw this exposed root system. Fortunately it was in an area where few people go, so quite pristine in its state.

I guess I don't see what you do but I realize it is a bit surreal in appearance. I tend to compose photos as if they were paintings I would like to have done. Thanks for commenting Photo8.
At the time I took this I was providing another b/w for someone who only likes b/w. I like it fine in color. What would you say?

I prefer the b&w because it brings out more detail and gives it more impact. Very nicely done. I hope you put this one on the wall.

Color adds nothing, IMHO. OTOH, the B&W version is like poetry,
Ansel Adams-like.
