Sobering words from Thomas Watson.
I love the old giants of the faith. They knew how to get to the point.
This is a scan of a print of a cactus. It was growing in a front yard in California. I believe it was shot on Tri-X last year.
Do you agree with Thomas Watson that we all deserve Hell and that any breath we take is a gift from God?
Great reminder. Thanks for this morning's thought-for-the-day!
Nice photo! But on the question if we (or anyone) deserves punishment and torment for all eternity - no, I absolutely cannot agree to that.

It depends on your worldview; if you are a Christian then yes, that's what you believe (because that's what God has said and His word on a subject is authoritative.)

Your reply to "Nice photo! But on the question if we (or anyone) deserves punishment and torment for all eternity - no, I absolutely cannot agree to that."
The "punishment and torment" is missing from what Jesus is saying here ! ??
Luke 25:33-36 Therefore in the resurrection whose wife of them is she? for seven had her to wife. Jesus answering said unto them, The children of this world marry, and are given in marriage, but they which shall be accounted worthy to obtain that world, and the resurrection from the dead, neither marry, nor are given in marriage, neither can they die any more: for they are equal unto the angels; and are the children of God, being the children of the resurrection.
