As I walked by the birdbath, I noticed the "pearl in the oyster" and decided it might make a good photo. Shortly after, I noticed a honey bee slaking its thirst. I am sure both could be improved. Tell me how.

Hope you did not get too close, that is a Yellow jacket, not a bee.

(Pg. 1) It is, for sure, and heavy enough to tip that leaf raft a bit, so that the water drop load is a little more centered.

Wow! I love those....the “Bee” is more like a Yellow Jacket but that doesn’t matter in such a neat picture! I have seen birds sipping those as well as drops hanging on the underside of branches. Never saw a drop floating on a leaf floating in the water! Good job.

Neat photos, but that honey bee is actually a yellow jacket wasp. Those are bad dudes.

Only the females sting, & they will do so repeatedly when they are really upset. Ah... females --- yellowjacket or homo sapiens, do NOT frivolously mess around with them or **pain** will surely ensue.
