The Kingfishers in Costa Rica are not only small and fast but they fly like butterflies. I would have hoped for better photos of the bird sitting, it looks like they're not in focus, especially the second one. The Osprey shots are better and I've seen that look they can give you - nothing gets passed them; they see everything!
I've taken the liberty to do some sharpening of your second photo, hope you don't mind.
