TTL images look fine. All functions seem to work fine. The piks though come out all white with a dark streak on one side (left side). This happened suddenly without any warning. Any ideas what it could be? I have tried different lens that works great on the 7100.

Your camera is an antique (for those that do not know what a D50 is), sounds like a total failure of either the sensor or the PCB. I am afraid its terminal as repairs would cost FAR more than the cameras replacement value.

when things happen, I usually go to the Menu and reset the camera; that could work for you

I had two D50's long ago that suffered both Sensor and Shutter failures. Neither was worth fixing. Time for an upgrade - there are some very good deals on 3000, 5000, and 7000 series DX format bodies.

I am so sorry for your loss. The D50 was my first digital camera. It was a great camera and I still use and enjoy mine but not used as often as my newer ones. Not worth fixing but you can replace it with another one real cheap or for a little more you can get a much newer used DSLR. And the new ones are really a great value right now. Good luck and have fun shopping!!
