I have the 70-200L f2.8 but I bought the 55-250 to be part of a lightweight travel kit. There’s no doubt the L lens is optically superior - especially in low light situations - but I think you’d expect that at eight times the price. The 55-250 is an excellent match for her body and budget and will give her satisfactory results as she grows.
