Think back to when you knew nothing about 30 megapixel sensors. Would you still want to be that person?
When I went from the 5D mark III (22 megapixels) to the Mark IV (30 megapixels) I saw a huge difference in image quality. The 7D II is a great camera, but not knowing much about the new 90D I can only assume you would see a big difference. Also, the 90D has the new Digic 8 Processor. My EOS RP has the Digic 8 Processor and the images are every bit as good as on my 5D IV.

What could I expect, in regards to IQ, if I do get the 90D.
33 mp for 90D vs. 20mp for 7D mkII, if your in the habit of making poster size prints of your photo's, the 90D will give you more detail.

Or the ability to crop because animals do not always cooperate.
The extra mp are critical for success or trash.

He shoots birds, often in those shots heavy cropping is required because generally birds generally don't allow humans to get close. Pixel density makes a difference in different aspects of photography.

So are you saying that when we only had 6 or 8 or 10 MP sensors, then what we got was trash?
People have become mp obsessed in many ways. But technology will continue to provide more and more and it will take larger cards and more disk space. And perhaps most will still share on social media... Every camera body is a compromise and people have perhaps too many good choices...

You know as well as I do, it wasn't trash back in the day when dslr's had 10 pixels.

Don't think that he said that, but let's take the image below shot from well over 100 feet away..... My 5DSR allows for significant cropping and clean display that my 5DIV would not.

I notice when Canon has a higher mp camera that the Sonikon fans say that they are not needed.
But when Sonikon has a new high mp camera they all ditch their old cameras and get the new because the images are so much more superior.
