Selling camera and lenses

Because of a severe health problem I must sell a brand new, never used Nikon D3500 camera with its 2 kit lenses plus 3 other lenses. The kit lenses are: a AF-P Nikkor 18-55 mm 1:3.5-5.6G DX VR lens and a AF-P Nikkor 70-300 mm 1:4.5-6.3G ED DX lens. Included are a battery, charger, neck strap, instructions, lens filters, and a Nikon camera bag for the camera and 2 kit lenses. The warranty for the above has never been sent in.

The other 3 lenses include: a Nikon wide angle 10-20 mm 1:4.5-5.6G DX VR with a hood: a Samyang 8 mm1:3.5 fisheye and a Lensbaby 5.8 mm1:3.5 circular fisheye. All 3 have both front and rear caps. (I love fisheyes for the images they produce.)

The original price for the camera and 5 lenses was $1433 and I am asking for $900 plus mailing in the lower 48. I would like very much to sell everything at once and not piecemeal. Personal checks are accepted.

Am interested but do not know if this camera would be appropriate for me. Have never owned a digital camera but have several old 35 mm film cameras all in excellent condition which I used a lot over the years but have gotten away from it for many years now. Have a Nikon F with Tn head and view finder, 50 mm1:1.4 Nikkor-S lens. Also a Nikonas underwater camera both of which I purchased in 1966 plus a few other cameras and a few lenses but nothing digital. Before you ask I am not interested in trading or selling any of them. However I have been giving some serious thought to getting back into it now that I have retired but have no idea what to buy in digital equipment. So I would have to do some research. So if your equipment does not sell quickly I would probably be interested and the price looks good to me but I have no idea about the value of it. However the price would not be a problem if the camera and kit lenses would work as a digital starting point for me. The fish eyes are not particularly interesting to me but I would try experimenting with them just out of curiosity. However if it is not too much trouble I would like for you to email photos of all of it to me. My address is scubaman65@msn.com.

I'm sorry to hear your health is less than it should be. Consider taking care of your health and then return to what you love. After all, that is what propels us through the day.
Please get well,my fellow Hogger.

This sounds like a very good kit for the price. I am not familiar with Nikon, so do not know the specs of the camera (but I know that a lot of the Hoggers here use it) and the lens qualities, but the range of lenses would keep you learning for a long time!

The D3500 is a very good entry level DSLR from Nikon and with all the lens included, well worth the price. If you want more info on the camera, Google Nikon D3500.

The Nikon D3xxx series cameras are known to be about the best beginner/ hobby camera.
It also has the same sensor, and most of the electronics, of it's D5xxx and D7xxx siblings.
It would be too hard to differentiate betwixt that D3500 and the (2x price) D7500 photos.
As a beginner, this bundle could last you for 10 or more years, and nor feel deficient.

Gary,

I have no way to send you any pictures of the equipment because the Nikon is the only camera I have. I can assure you that all are brand new and have never been used and the warranty on the Nikon equipment has never been sent in.

I follow several camera sites and evaluation sources and at least twice I have read that the Nikon D3500 is the best camera in its class for either 2018 and/or 2019.

If you're interested I will also include a large Tamrac camera bag which easily holds the camera and 5 lenses at no cost to you.

As I said in the ad, my health problem prevents me from toting everything around so I'm thinking of buying a camera with attached zoom lens.

Finally, I'm 89 and I have tried to be honest my entire life, and if you don't like the equipment I will gladly accept it back.

I find it difficult to navigate this for sale site (it used to be much easier but UHH changed things around) and if it's OK with you I'd like for you to email me at charlesboysen@att.net instead of the UHH site.

Thanks for your your interest.
