Nice Merry, I hope they are not removing too many trees!
unfortunately we had to let some loggers remove the huge pines...there were too many of them very close to the house and there was no way we could pay a tree service to do it....it has been terrible to watch them fall and crash to the ground...i love all my trees.
it's unfortunate, but it was either cut all the pines close to the house or risk one falling on the house...we still have oaks and other hardwoods scattered around.

Actually the photos are of a logging grapple. The 'Tines' you see open and surround the fallen log, close and then pick up one end of the log and the tractor then can skid it to wherever. It is just a working tool of the logging industry.
