The boots are very nice, but the winner for me is #3. I'd be very happy to have that one in my save folder! Good job!
You did good for a beginner, Jef.

I got a Nikon d3500 a little less than a week ago and although I’m still wildly confused, I think I got a couple decent shots.
Really good start. Learn the camera, read the manual, practice, watch videos, look and learn here. You will do well
Given the diversity of the subjects, the lighting and the composition, your efforts are quite admirable. Keep it up, learn your camera, listen to those who have been there before, and, most importantly, HAVE FUN!!

Welcome to UHH. Those are nice images for your first week. Keep shooting and practicing.
Welcome. Looks like you're off to a good start with your new camera. Hope you have a good time and enjoy your photography time. Bev

YouTube is your friend. There is a TON of stuff on the D3500 on it, as well as general photography info, and Nikon specific. Very nice photos, and welcome to the forums.
Great start! You have"the eye". That's tremendous advantage. Read the camera manual and fiddle all the adjustments while reading and fiddling. The only real way to get the feel of the camera. Once you know what the controls do, then concentrate on framing some more great images. You'll never be sorry you learned to handle your camera completely. The UHH forum will be here for your questions and to give you help. Welcome! I'm looking forward to seeing more of your work on UHH.
Five good ones to be exact, keep shooting and posting.
