I went back to my roots this weekend I received a NikonF4S from my friendly Fed Ex driver. As soon as I opened the box I was in heaven. I am currently shooting a roll of Fuji 200 to test the camera I want to put it thru the ringer like I did in the 70s with my canon F1 I had back than I changed to Nikon at the end of 90s. After the prints are processed I will post the here. I’m very excited because this is what I know I’m not computer smart. I hope all this makes sense I roaring to get eeeeerrrrr done
My film camera population still outnumbers my digitals. My favorite is a Nikon F followed by a Nikon F5. As someone once stated, "I love the smell of fixer. It smells like creativity".

Fixer and developer is the great smell I had to get back in the dark room. The said thing is a few years ago I sold my hasselblad and a mamiya 645 thinking that film was history now I regret every think I did I do have my darkroom equipment just need to put in operation
I've been using a Hasselblad 500c/cm for around 18 years now. Just added a Pentax 6x7 to the mix a few months back. I also use an Arca Swiss 4x5 which has a shift stitch back for attaching my digital cameras to it. Though due to the procedure to use the digital subject matter is limited.
Processing is done in one of two Jobo processors I use. I love that kind of work.

Back in film days, the F4s was one I wanted.
Have fun with it!
I’m already having a blast plus the patients to wait to see the finished product

FWIW, I had the Pentax 6x7 but switched to the Mamiya RB-67.
Believe it or not, I found the Pentax harder to hold than the RB with the L grip and pentaprism.
The RB has interchangable backs, built-in bellows & all leaf shutter lenses.
I remember the RB 67 like it was yesterday I actually used that brut to shoot a wedding in 1979 and really close friend of mine who looked like Ansel Adams asked me to try it so I did
George, I haven't used the 6x7 all that much, but do like it. I would agree with you about weddings and I avoid them at all costs. I've read too many stories about lawyers getting involved with wedding photography. That's not a good combination.

I know a couple of lawyers who are great at photography,
....but they shoot landscape, not weddings.
I once taught a lawyer had to scuba dive and before he go into the water he asked if I was going to drown him lol
Landscape is ok at lease you don’t have to deal with people asking if you would take a different shot than was required

The F4 is one of the toughest cameras ever made. I have 2 bodies, an MB-20, MB-21 like yours, and an MB-23, as well as an MF-23 back. They had been well-used for 12 or 13 years by a photojournalist friend, mostly in Asia, Africa and the Middle East and while they certainly have their share of scuff marks, there are no dings or dents and all function perfectly today. No telling how many thousands of films had been run through them - I’ve probably exposed 100-150 rolls through each in the 20 years I’ve had them. I also have a Nikon F, F3 and F5, and a Leicaflex SL and SL2, the last 4 bought new, so don’t use any particular one regularly - I rotate their use. I mostly shoot 120 film, 6x7 and 6x9, some 6x6. Enjoy that F4S!
Thanks for the feedback I have enjoyed the camera so far as I learn the ins and outs of the body I waiting to finish up the first roll of film I have in the camera now I want to see the results I have missed my film cameras and now I’m back to film love it
