Nothing. I posted it in Chit-Chat, a catch all for posts not photography specific. I see you just joined, so welcome. As you become more familiar with UHH, you will find many posts about non-photography subjects. Chit-Chat is appropriate for those posts.

Enjoy UHH!

Ahhh. Great music and artistry from some of the most musically creative musicians.
Thanks Mark.

Miles living on the edge of change in jazz, as he always did. This was near the beginning of the transition out of be-bop to an arguably harmonically and rhythmically more adventurous form, with the young lions like Herbie and Tony leading the way in the rhythm section. Great find, and thanks for posting!

Coltrane was really smokin on the 1st set good stuff. Paris was a hotbed for Jazz in the late 50s and early 60s.

Why do you people do this. Read, it is in chit-chat. We photographer don't just shoot photos, we are very intelligent and have other interest also. Don't mean to be nasty but! Thanks

Thanks Mark. Always love your posts.

Now a question please.
I went to save this video in my 'Bookmarks' folder and found out that some of my older Miles Davis You Tube 'saves' are no longer available as the video has been discontinued.

Where do you save your jazz videos so they can be listened to 6 months or more later?

Thanks
Alex

Hi Alex,

The ones I want to to keep in my music library, I download, convert to mp3 and save as (ONLY) a music file. Therefore I always have the music, but not the video.

He had just joined UHH on 9/15. I explained (to him) that Chat was appropriate for other topics.

Coltrane was a genius and one of the best creators in jazz. Europe was a hotbed and to some degree, a choice of many American jazz musicians because of the prejudice and abuse they experienced in the US.
Thanks,
Mark
