I have been using Nikons since the late '60's - all the way back to the pre AI 50-300, which was quite a monster. All down the years to the current lenses 80-400, 200-500, I've never had a mount fail. May be luck, or just the way I treat equipment. My feeling, having been a Nikon guy for main system all those decades, If Nikon felt there was an issue, they'd fix it.
Me too. The only problem is you don't get all those admiring glances that you would get if you had "Really Right Stuff" stuff.
