I’ve had about 30 camera bags. (Probably more - I always seem to underestimate.)
My favorites have been Lowepro and Think Tank - as have been previously mentioned. My most often used are the Think Tank Streetwalker v2 and the Streetwalker Pro v2. But I use those mostly for Sony mirrorless bodies. In my opinion, the Pro is better for a DSLR body because of the larger size.

Personally, I use Lowepro bags for my DSLR bodies.i like the way the larger DSLR camera bodies fit in the middle of the bag without constraint instead of on the side where the fit isn’t quite as natural. That’s just my opinion and experience. Also why I suggest the Pro v2 if you were to go Think Tank route. The Think Tanks truly are built extremely well and tough.

I have several bags, but when I want to carry a lot of dslr gear ... I use my Lowepro Whistler BP 450 AW.
It has more than enough room and is well laid out and of strong build.
Plus, you can make any gear changes while out and about simply by swiveling the pack on your hips.
Bag never touches the ground.

I currently carry a Canon 5D MK2, a 7d MK2, a Tamron 150-600mm, and Canon 24-105mm, 50mm, 100mm macro, and16-35mm, lenses, along with several flashes and other accessories.

It is very well made, and is waterproof as well. It is very comfortable to wear all day even with carrying all that gear.

You may be able to get by with the smaller model.

I doubt if you will find better value anywhere. It is currently listed on Amazon for $129.98.

The Think Tank website is very good - multiple views of "what fits". They are also quality bags that wear like iron - several of mine have been heavily used for five years and still look new.

Yes, I do have a good recommendation for you. It is the same bag I use for my D810 and D500 both with battery grips attached and each of which has a quick release plate or an L bracket on it.

The bag is a Gura Gear Bataflae 26L Backpack. Its interior dimensions are: Interior Dimensions: 13" x 17" x 7".

You will need at least 6.5 inches of interior depth for D 850 with a battery grip attached.

You might be able to find a used one too. Some of the used ones might be green.

I use it a lot to hold my gear when I am in my car traveling. And I carry it onto airplanes as a backpack and it fits in the overhead storage bins. You can configure the inside dividers to meet your needs. It does not have a sleeve for a laptop.

If you want a bag with a smaller profile--less interior depth-- for camera bodies without the battery grips attached, check out the Gura gear Kiboko 22L model. The latest version is sold only by B & H. It also has an area to hold a laptop. I use this bag when traveling when I need to carry a laptop.

I think you will find a "Backpack" style to offer you more room or space than any "Over-the-Shoulder" type of bag.
Plus depending on the Backpack you buy, you may also have a holder for the Tripod too. Many, Many Sizes, Styles of Backpacks, check out B&H, Adorama, Amazon, eBay, etc. Many places will accept returns if you are not satisfied, some will have a help desk to answer any of your questions or concerns too.
I have a over the head "Cross-Body" Type "Lowepro" backpack, was good at first, but as I added "Gear", it has become to small, and not easily accessable, I personally find it rather awkward.
