The steel plant has been closed for several years. In exploring the interiors of the buildings, one would think that it became shut down and deserted overnight, many things left behind. There has been some vandalism and graffiti, even a room that appears to have been used by a homeless person.
Sad. Used to make sales calls at this plant back in the mid/late 70s when it was still active
Last time I was there Homeland Security ran me off. How did you manage to get inside.

There are other closed steel mills. Wonder if any around Chicago still stand abandoned.
Bethlehem,Inland ,and U S Steel were three that i remember, but there were more.
