Got 1 usable frame out of 18. Canon 7d MKII, Sigma 10-22 lens, ISO 3200, f3.5 @ 20 seconds. Quickly "painted" windmill with a weak flashlight.

Photo was taken near Roosevelt, west of Junction TX.

I was born and raised in west texas, and I just love your windmill creation, gator!!

I think this is great! Did you "light paint" during the entire 20 seconds? Did you watch the image in live view to know when to quit? I'm not sure I would have chosen that angle for the windmill, but it does make for a unique perspective on the image.

Outstanding shot, love it. The Canon 7d Mk II is not exactly a "low light monster", and at f/3.5, the Sigma is not the ideal astro lens. This just goes to show that it's the photographer and not the gear!

Unique perspective and I enjoy the metal colors against the red in the sky. Bev
