Later this fall there will be lots of Mallards come to the small pond here at Byron Manor. The minute I arrive with a pail of grain, they come waddling up so close I can almost touch them. Right now there's just a few and I haven't been feeding them. They come within 5 or 6 feet - any closer and they'd be too close for me to shoot with my telephoto. A blue heron has shown up but I haven't been at the pond when he was. I hope you enjoy the ducks and a view of the pond area. I look forward to your comments and criticism.
Really nice series, Annie.
Nice ducks, Annie. Nice ducks....
Speaking, however, as an ex-pat Michigander --um.... wait! 'ganders are gooses, aren't they? that's not ducks! Ducks are what we did when.... oh, nevermind.....-- I have to say: 'Byron Manor' sounds a little.... umm.... high fallutin' to us (ex-pat) West Side Detroit-er types. Do folks in 'the manor' chug tea and nibble crumpets? Harrumph!
Nice cat tails, too, Annie.
Glad you posted them. I love ducks!
I like the shot with the cattails
Annie, these are really nice shots. I love your almost tame ducks!
Annie, Nice set! I guess that they are aware you traded in your shooting iron for a camera.
All are beautiful, I love them.

Excellent and interesting set Annie, love the quacking duck.
Thank you, NMGal. Ducks have such interesting expressions.
