Second part - there were 2 bands, plenty of food and lots to drink...people camp on site. We didn't, we live just down the road. I cranked up thee ISO as there was only one light rotating colors on the performers and strings of outdoor lights.

These are some from Friday evening/night while I was out practicing my landscape photography.
We had a rare day and evening with lower than normal humidity and very clear skies. I was hoping for a little cloud cover for some interesting skies, but I made due with what was available.
You did well with what was there..Pg. 4

Nice photos for our lazy Free Sunday.
I signed up at our Community College to take a photography class to learn more about my DSLR Camera and have fun with others taking this course. It's a 4 month class and we take photos that get critiqued by the instructor. The first week we had a color assignment and that was fun. This week I have been running around trying to come something smooth to photograph. This weeks assignment is Smooth and I need at least 6 photos.
Here are two of the six that I need to submit by Wednesday night.

I'm reposting these two images at Bill's request.
I had posted the first one in the B&W challenge which
Bill really liked. I had commented that unfortunately,
you really couldn't see the "after burner" in the B&W
version, and then Bill said to post the color version.
So.....

Thanks, and thanks for the flower reference.
These are probably related to the Victoria Blues in some way, I expect, but these appear to be one of the aquatic varieties, instead, so they do not mound as it appears the Victoria Blues do. The plants are growing in a pocket of calm water out to the side of the main creek channel. I'll add a pic here that gives a little more idea of their growing environment.
I have not found any literature that mentions a six petal variant among the 50 or so species of forget-me-nots....there are only references to five petal blooms in what I have found. On the stem I have pictured, there are two each of six petal and five petal blooms, so my curiosity got prodded.
Before and after shots, fifteen years apart. The rebuilt terminal's spare, modernistic architecture has lost the comfortable ambience of the ornate old building IMHO, but I doubt that the 1962 travelers remember the pre-war terminal. One thing for sure: every Frankfurt citizen wanted to forget the 1944 Allied air raid.
1947 - Frankfurt's central railroad terminal after WW II air raids
1962 - Frankfurt's rebuit central railroad terminal
