Try putting some meat scraps out in a little tray affixed to the railing and see if they will feed from it and record their feeding cycles....I recently befriended a family of foxes that way and I love to watch them each evening. They are so beautiful. It was worth the effort to go the extra distance to reach out to the wildlife. Many of them are starving due to their habitats being overrun by expanded housing growth in their hunting areas which are territorial between predators. So they may actually need some help if they are to stay in heavily populated regions where human activity has expanded.
