I still remember visiting there with my aunt and uncle when I was a kid. That would have been in the 50s. I’ve always considered that trip a highlight of my life!

Wonder why you couldn't have provided a download for each shot. Details would have been wonderful to me at least. I was there in 1967.
Flickr does not "do" Downloads as a viewing option. However, if you click on a photo from there, or its Title, you will be taken to the Flickr page for that photo, which can be seen in full size if desired. I do "Share" all my photos with their original sizes, so display should be dependent on how big your monitor is.

We live nearby and are members, but never get there enough. Hope to make it to the Old Car Festival this weekend (with camera in hand of course). Nice series and glad you could visit.

I was doing a week at a timeshare near Pittsfield and arranged a visit to Sturbridge with my cousin in Lancaster and his wife. We toured the Village together--a very nice outing for us all.

Beautiful. It brings back lots of memories as a child when I first visited about 65 years ago (and a few years ago).

A GUY GOING IN SO THAT WE SEE HIS BACK DETRACTS FROM THE OVERALL FEELING. I WOULD HAVE WAITED FOR SOMEONE COMING OUT. IF THEY SAW ME SHOOTING AND OBJECTED I'D WAIT FOR THE NEXT PERSON.

David,

Overall great travel tour. I have two suggestions: In "Menlo Park Lab" a person coming out would have been preferable to a guy's back going in. I'm surprised you posted "equipment powering" since it's so out of focus.

Been to The Village many times. It's world class for sure. I too grew up in Detroit and witnessed it's decline. However, things in Detroit have improved a great deal in recent times. Business's and people are returning to the city. The hockey arena, baseball park and football field are all first rate if nothing else. They are actually about to build a brand new skyscraper in Detroit. Can't recall at the moment which banking institution will occupy the new building. I truly hope these changes will eventually lead Detroit back to good times.

Alan, I confess I was not focusing on art when I took those photos, so didn't pay much attention to people entering and leaving--I shot what was available at the time. The out of focus photo was included because, even imperfect, it had part of the story I thought needed to be said.
