This is were I get Lost..... You are saving to Computer???? My approach, I export all of my card into On1. These are placed inside a folder, These are Saved in On1 library. I then select photo from browse menu, click the edit menu and then edit from there. This should be saved as your Only photo. You will not have two copies, but only one with all the edits. If you are saving to computer, where are you saving the photos. In a separate folder, on your desk top, into a different editing software???? If you take a look at the link I sent, you will find easy to understand tutorials on On1. Either the first or second video tells you how to either save photos to On1 or how to edit them from a different location, like Lightroom, aperture, photos, etc.....

You actually never do a save in ON1. Your edits are automatically updated and saved into a sidecar file as you edit. The sidecar files are in the same folder as the pictures and have a ".ON1" extention. When you transfer or copy your files from your camera's card you put them into a folder. In this process you designate the name and location of the folder and that is where tour pictures will be.

If you aren't sure there they are, go into the Browse module and on the left side you will find the file directory tree. I use windows and my photo folders show in the "Pictures" directory on my computer.

I have never used ON1 to do the transfer from my camera card to the computer so I don"t know what the default folder name would be if you didn't designate a name to use, but my guess would be that the date you brought them in would be in the name.

In the browse module, if you look along the top you will see the path for the pictures being displayed and it shows the name and location of the pictures.

When you want a copy of the picture you are working on you "Export" a copy and in the process you can choose where the copy will be saved. By default it will save in the same folder as the original picture.

Yes, it's actually saved to your computer, but if importing the photos into On1 you're just creating a path to where you can locate them in On1. I just find it easier to import into ON1 since I'm using as a library as well. On each card import I just assign a new name to that specific folder.
