I don't know if anyone paid attention. Why did sct98 had to sell his camera equipment? What is going on here?
As for the photograph and the camera used, this is proof positive that the photographer makes the photograph.

Moved 4 times this year, it gets expensive, and ran up quit a large debt. Had to take the only low ball offer I got. The worst part is that 6 days afterwards my car was stolen, now I worse off than before Photography seems to be the only thing I enjoy doing anymore so I spent a little on the Kodak camera just to go take some pics. I appreciate you concern but I just keep my head up and push forward.

good picture, just goes to prove anything is possible if you put your mind to it and have some type of understanding about what your doing. you don't need a $5000 camera to take a good picture, all you need is the passion to make due with what you have and capture the moment, and I think you did an excellent job with that

Hey, thanks. I think that the silver lining is that with all the new camera that have and will be coming out, once I back being financially stable, I can start from the beginning with a new system(brand not important to me), I have been looking at the Nikon 3500 kit and the Canon t6 kit. I am sure I will always miss my Sony a99 and a77mk2. Who knows I might even go mirrorless.

Looks like a nice place. I hope you have it etched into your memory.

I have been walking the 6 miles to work since my car was stole, it is the entrance to an exclusive neighborhood, been walking by it.

How about this one of the car that was stolen? Shot this with a77mk2 and Zeiss 16-80 and it looks a little dark on this site.

I had to sell all my camera equipment a couple of weeks ago and ended up getting a cheap Kodak point and shoot. This is the 2nd pic I took with it. A little soft but better than nothing.

I am not offended, the story is not a joke either, just been having some hard times. Thanks for responding though. I guess it's more of a statement of passion over money and adversity.

Sorry about the hard tones.
Was the stolen car insured?

It is said that the camera does not matter, that it is the photographer and I say that is almost right. A good camera and a good lens matter although it is the photographer who makes the image.
You have done very well with what you have.

Hang in there. Get/got some of the best pics during the the worst times. It's all relative. Could have been born in Syria, Palestine, Yemen, or some country "liberated" by some superpower. If you've got food, water, and a roof over you head, you're doing a lot better than at least a billion others. Wish you peace.

I know the feeling, cancer has just about destroyed me but I beat the cancer, now I just have to get the money tree going again. I want to go up north for the color changes, wish me luck.

Well, if anything, you proved it's the photographer not the cameras that makes the picture. Now, did you really sell ALL your camera equipment?
